"Jill Hill, who has been very successful and a top leader in sales in the upper end market of Chattanooga, is partnering with our team and will be working with our upper-end buyers and sellers in our new Distinctive Properties Division," Durham explained. "We can specialize in waterfront properties, farms, golf communities and more." Hill brings 20 years of sales experience to the team.

In 2014, Durham sold over $27 million in homes bringing him to selling more than 1,400 homes in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas.

"We're able to have the ability to work with marketing programs that are proven to sell upper end homes and properties," he noted. "We've expanded our office space, increased our marketing budget and we have several buyers agents and have just added two more to keep up with growing volume."

Durham also has a Client Care Coordinator, a licensed Realtor, who handles the initial meeting with the buyers. They discuss the client's needs and determine a personal plan for them. Some have relationships with private banking, some use traditional lenders and have already been approved for a mortgage, and some are in the pre-qualification stage. Each client is special and their needs vary.

"We have developed many systems over the years to make sure we're efficient: marketing, client care, follow-up," he said. "We take each property that we take on and use an independent marketing strategy. There's no cookie cutter approach. There's much more involved than sticking a sign in the yard."

Exceptional service is the goal Durham and his team strive for with each and every client and sale.

"I'm always staying focused on making sure I'm up-to-date with all current real estate trends," Durham said. "I spend a lot of time in classes, education and studying the market. I pride myself on ensuring everyone on the team is highly professional and treats the client as their No. 1 priority."

Durham doesn't just assist customers with buying and selling. He also makes it a point to be as involved as possible in local, state and national associations.

Durham has held several local, state and national Realtor association leadership roles. He served as president of the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors in 2010 and 2001. He is currently President-elect for the Tennessee Association of Realtors and will be the state association's president in 2016. Also, he is the National Association of Realtor's Federal Political Coordinator for US Senator Bob Corker. This role is to provide a Realtor voice and liaison for property ownership rights and real estate related issues at a national level for the Realtors and property owners.

But Durham also applies his knowledge of real estate and finance to other community groups and causes - a responsibility he takes seriously, from longtime treasurer at Grace Episcopal Church to president of his neighborhood association last year. Perhaps most impressively, he's gotten to share his background, expertise and ideas for Chattanooga's future as a member of Mayor Andy Berke's affordable housing task force and as a member of the THRIVE 2055 coordinating committee. THRIVE 2055 is a threeyear, public-private initiative to shape the future growth of the 16-county region that encompasses Chattanooga.

Durham takes great pride in his community involvement, just as he takes pride in helping clients find the home of their dreams.

"I like to stay engaged on the global field, the state level and in the community as well," Durham said, and the resulting wisdom continues to be clearly visible in the way he does business.

Noteworthy:

"We've expanded our office space, and we have several buyer's agents and have just added two more to keep up with growing volume," said Realtor Randy Durham of the Randy Durham Team.
