What are the top five least pleasant jobs?

Among the 200 most common occupations, worker surveys show the jobs with the least satisfaction were:

1 Roofers, median pay $34,220. Strenuous and tiring work. It involves heavy lifting, as well as climbing and bending. Work-related injuries for roofers are among the highest of all occupations.

2 Waiters, servers, median pay $18,130. The majority work part time, which often includes early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays.

3 Laborers for freight, stock and material handling, median pay $22,560. Transport objects without using machines. Some clean vehicles; some pick up unwanted household goods; and still others pack materials for moving.

4 Bartenders, median pay $18,860. During busy hours, bartenders are under pressure to serve customers quickly and efficiently.

5 Clothing and apparel salespersons, median pay $20,990. Many sales workers must work evenings and weekends.
