Location: 300 Market Street, Dayton, Tenn., in the Bi-Lo parking lot near the southeast intersection of Highway 27/Highway 60
Status: Construction began this spring and is nearly 60 percent complete. The business is scheduled to open in December.
Investment: Estimated construction and equipment costs are more than $1 million.
Car wash prices: Basic car wash is $5, detailing and hot wax service is $12.
Features: Customers choose treatments on a drive-up selector before entering a three-minute express tunnel. Detailing takes place in a bay area big enough for four cars. The car wash can serve nearly 100 cars per hour and will recycle most of its water via a water reclaim system.
Staffing: At least 10 part-time workers will be employed.
Amenities: Inside are restrooms and a spacious waiting room, where customers can watch the detailing of their cars; the exterior includes a vending machine and a free self-service vacuum.
