Sam Payne telling stories at Tennessee Valley Theatre in Spring City, Tennessee

Nationally known storyteller Sam Payne will entertain at Tennessee Valley Theatre in Spring City, Tennessee, on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 7:30 p.m.

In addition to Payne's performance, there will be a silent auction from 6 to 9 p.m. at the event.

For the last 20 years, Payne has brought a variety of storytelling, music and workshop experiences to festival stages, concert halls, classrooms, universities, museums and recordings.

Payne serves as the Weber State University Storytelling Fellow and has brought his stories and songs to halls in Canada, Bulgaria, Tokyo and coast-to-coast in the United States. He has been featured at festivals large and small, and shared stages with rock legends Foreigner and Toto, as well as pop superstars Air Supply and Marie Osmond.

Payne has written multiple publications for children, co-directs the "Soundcheck Series," an artist development program for independent songwriters, and hosts "The Apple Seed: Tellers and Stories," a national radio show on the art of storytelling, broadcasting daily on BYU Radio.
