Rock singer-turned-pastor Sherry Cothran will present her one-woman show, "Untamed Women of the Bible," at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, in Barking Legs Theater, 1307 Dodds Ave.
Before becoming pastor of St. Marks United Methodist Church North Shore, Cothran was a professional songwriter for Wrensong Publishing in Nashville, the lead singer of rock band The Evinrudes and signed to Mercury Records.
She loves to share stories about lesser-known women of the Bible. In her storytelling style, she weaves her own stories into her alternative songs based on the lives of the biblical women she calls prophets, warriors, healers and heroes.
