FiberWorks fashion show, market in Cleveland - March 29

Sixteen artists will bring their one-of-a-kind handmade creations to Cleveland, Tenn., on Saturday, March 29, for the second annual FiberWorks Fashion Show and Market at the Museum Center at Five Points, 200 E. Inman St.

Hailing from Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina and Florida, the artisans have won national and regional awards and are respected teachers in fiber arts programs around the country.

The event will offer an opportunity to meet the artists and discuss their work, methods and materials and get advice on design, styling and care of their garments. Their mediums include weaving, dyeing, surface design, knitting, felting and couture sewing.

The market will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a 90-minute break at noon for the fashion show and luncheon, catered by Swiss-Am. Items for sale will include wraps, dresses, sweaters, scarves and accessories for all ages and sizes. All items are hand-woven, hand-spun, hand-felted, hand-knit, hand-crocheted, hand-dyed, hand-painted and/or hand-sewn. Prices range from $10 to $500. Pieces in the fashion show are also available for purchase.
