Abuelo's Mexican Food Embassy features a gift card special for the holidays and encourages diners to enjoy fresh Mexican entreés for both on-site parties and off-site catering.
"It's a busy season around the mall, but we make sure to take care of our customers during this crazy time of year," says Abuelo's general manager Ramesh Jolam. The Abuelo's gift card bounce back special will be available through the holidays. As a perfect gift or stocking-stuffer, Jolam says guests can purchase a $25 gift card for friends or family and the restaurant will reward the gift-givers with their own $5 gift card.
"At this time of year we have a lot of people coming to us for catering, a lot of office celebrations and full-scale catering events," Jolam says. "We have a great staff to execute events."
The Abuelo's catering van carries delicious dishes across Chattanooga. Jolam says the restaurant can do catering for any size function, preparing Mexican dishes from its menu or personalizing menus and tastes for events. Abuelo's can create salsa fountains and a chip bar, but the restaurant has also prepared wings for caterings. Abuelo's offers drop-and-go delivery service, but the staff can also take care of the whole catering event - setting up and serving so the hosts don't have to worry.
"We've been in the catering business a while now and know the needs of our guests and how to best deliver our high standards," Jolam says.
The Abuelo's staff can help customers create a menu that fits their budget. Jolam says that fajita bars are popular for simple, quick lunches. Abuelo's can also host in-house events in the banquet room, which can be set up for wedding rehearsals or board meetings with projector screens for slideshows or PowerPoint presentations.
For guests looking to escape their kitchens for lunch or dinner, Abuelo's features a variety of from-scratch entreés and special prices. "We have great prices with lunch starting at $5.99 and I think we have the best happy hour in town," Jolam says. "Everything is made from scratch every day and you know because you can taste the freshness of the food."
Abuelo's presents a 10-percent discount on all food purchases for several local businesses. All CBL, USExpress, Cigna, BlueCross BlueShield, Volkswagen, Amazon, Unum, Aquarium members, mall employees and McKee employees who show their work ID will receive the discount. The discount is not valid with other offers such as happy hour.
Abuelo's also plays an active role in the community by supporting local fundraisers. For example for the next Veterans Day weekend, Abuelo's will donate a portion of all appetizer sales to the Wounded Warrior Foundation for Veterans.
