"Anyone who wants to be a can't-hack-it pantywaist who wears their mama's bra, raise your hand."

"If you'd-a been thinkin', you wouldn't-a thought that."

"You're killin' me, Smalls."

If it's been "for-ev-er" since you've heard those classic quotes from American cinema, then check out Movies at Center Park on Saturday, Sept. 7. The series gears up with a screening of the 1993 coming-of-age sports comedy "The Sandlot."

Still to come are "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" on Sept. 21 and "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" on Sept. 28.

Presented by the River City Co., Movies at Center Park makes use of the pocket park at 728 Market St. The fun on this swath of green space starts at 7 p.m. with a performance by The Power Players, followed by a cult classic film projected on downtown buildings at dark, around 8:45 p.m.

Food trucks will be on-site, along with beer vendors.

Those attending should bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. Admission is free, but RSVPs are requested at http://moviesatcenterpark.eventbrite.com.
