'Best New Nashville' trio in concert

Three of the artists included in "Teddy Gentry's Best New Nashville" compilation CD will be in concert at 7 CDT tonight at the City Auditorium, 100 Alabama Ave., N.W., in Fort Payne, Ala.

Chip Davis

Chip Davis began playing piano by ear at age 5 and was writing his own songs by age 12. He began his career at the Opryland Hotel, performing in the trio Texana. He has recorded with and written for Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, Randy Travis, Trace Adkins, Reba McEntire, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, among others.

Dillon Dixon

Dillon Dixon is a singer/songwriter whose songs have been recorded by George Jones, Restless Heart, Ronnie Milsap, Neal McCoy, Josh Gracin and Rodney Atkins. His music has been featured in the films "Terminator 3," "Live Free or Die Hard," "The Crow 3" and Wes Craven's "Scream," "Cursed" and "Mimic."

Jimmy Stewart

Jimmy Stewart has written with artists including Shawn Camp, Chris Stapleton, Guy Clark and Pat McLaughlin. Eventually, he joined Brooks & Dunn as a utility player for their cross-country tours. On the road, he has filled in for Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban and Earl Scruggs.
