Dinner at Flying Squirrel Tuesday helps Habitat - March 11

Habitat Night at Flying Squirrel, 55 Johnson St., will give area residents a chance to help potential homeowners with a fork instead of a hammer. From 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 10 percent of sales at the Southside bar and grill will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga Area. Those unable to attend are asked to consider an online gift of $10 at www.habichatt.org. Since 1986, the Chattanooga affiliate of the faith-based nonprofit has built 246 homes, providing security for more than 1,000 men, women and children. Their ranks include Amy Kerin and her dog, Guinness.
