Outdoors videos needed for mini film festival

If you are the type of person who's always shooting video and making short clips of everything you see, the Local Hero Project is interested in your work.

A new mini film festival has been organized as part of Spark -- A Right Brain Celebration, formerly known as HATCH and set for April 11-21.

All you have to do is send in your best three-minute video of your favorite Chattanooga outdoor lifestyle adventure, whether it is extreme or serene. It can be you paddling along a gentle stream or battling white-capped rapids. Or you could hike a wooded trail or climb a vertical rock face. You could even put together a time-lapse video of a cloud formation.

The deadline to enter videos is March 31. Your completed high-resolution video must be sent on DVD or flash drive to L2 Boards, 100 Market St., Chattanooga, TN 37402.

This is not a contest, although prizes will be awarded to participants. All videos will be shown on big-screen televisions during a grand finale at Mellow Mushroom on Broad Street on April 11. The best of the best will also be used at later events, officials say.
