Kane Brown added to 'New Year's Rockin' Eve'

Country artist Kane Brown, an alumnus of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School, will perform on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2018."

The show airs Sunday, Dec. 31, beginning at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Brown will join artists Kelly Clarkson, BTS, Fitz and The Tantrums, Khalid, Shawn Mendes and Charlie Puth at the West Coast festivities from Los Angeles, where Ciara is set to host the event leading up to the 2018 countdown.

Brown has had a stellar year career-wise.
His self-titled album, released in December 2016, was recently Gold-certified and remains country's best new artist debut of the past three years,

In October, Brown made history by becoming the first artist to reach No. 1 on all five Billboard country charts simultaneously: Top Country Albums, Country Airplay, Hot Country Songs and Country Streaming Songs with his last single, "What Ifs" featuring Lauren Alaina. He also took No. 1 on the Country Digital Songs chart with "Heaven," his current single.

Brown, who received a 2017 ACM New Male Vocalist of the Year nomination, just finished a tour with Jason Aldean and is getting ready to join Chris Young's "Losing Sleep" tour.
