KNOXVILLE - After being rescued from a makeshift hiding spot inside an East Knox County storm drain this morning, a Knoxville man readily admitted he dove inside the hole after burglarizing a nearby business and running from authorities.

David Bryan Ford, 50, eventually was freed from the hole by members of the Knoxville Volunteer Emergency Rescue Squad. He initially told deputies he was injured, but later refused all medical treatment.
