3 wanted in check scheme at Dalton store

Three people are wanted for cashing fraudulent payroll checks at a Dalton grocery store using stolen or fake IDs.

On April 1, three suspects, who used names police believe are false, cashed the checks at the Bi-Lo on Cleveland Highway, said Police spokesman Bruce Frazier.

The first suspect identified herself as Kineshia Murdaugh and cashed a check for more than $550. Her driver's license was later found to be false, Frazier said.

The next suspect said he was Michael Holland and cashed a check for $510, Frazier said. The third suspect went by Lantayious Sims and cashed a $580 check, Frazier said.

The next day Sims came back to the Bi-Lo and attempted to cash another check. But the store employee noticed the license's picture didn't match and the store called 911, Frazier said.

The man fled before police arrived.

If anyone recognizes the suspects in these pictures or has any other information on this crime, they are asked to please contact Detective Brandon Carter at 706-278-9085, extension 183.
