University of Tennessee at Chattanooga senior forward Whitney Hood was voted to the Southern Conference media's all-conference women's basketball first team, the league announced today.
Hood was the only UTC player to make either the first or second team. On Wednesday, the SoCon released the coaches' postseason honors and Hood was joined by junior guard Kayla Christopher and sophomore forward Taylor Hall on the all-conference squad.
The media voted Appalachian State forward Anna Freeman the Player of the Year and App State's Maryah Sydnor was the Freshman of the Year. Davidson coach Michele Savage was voted Coach of the Year.
