West Tennessee man on top 10 wanted list found

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says that a West Tennessee man who had been on the state's top 10 wanted list has been found.

The TBI said Monday that 25-year-old Darius Deshun Mitchell was arrested at his father's home in Ripley by the U.S. Marshals Service.

Mitchell, of Henning, had been wanted on an attempted first degree murder charge. He was placed on the top 10 wanted list on Thursday.

The TBI says Mitchell was seen chasing a vehicle in Lauderdale County on March 23. A witness told investigators that Mitchell fired a gun through the driver side window of the other vehicle, hitting the driver in the face.

The shooting victim survived.
