Police arrested an Ellijay, Ga., man last week for picking up a second wife before officially dumping his first.

Kelly Ann White, 44, of Rome, Ga., told Ringgold police in June that she was scrolling through Facebook when she happened upon the page of Jennifer Nicole Gilreath, a woman 21 years White's junior.

There, on Gilreath's online profile, White found a picture of the younger woman with Dennis Michael White. He was kind of smirking; she was full-on smiling, and they were both holding a marriage license.

Odd, Kelly White thought. She and Dennis, 33, were still married.

Dennis and Kelly got hitched in Catoosa County on March 23, 2009. But the marriage was not meant to be: She filed for divorce in Floyd County three months ago, according to court records.

The split was finalized on June 27.

But in between, on June 7, Dennis White married Gilreath in Catoosa County.

Kelly White filed a report on June 18, and on Wednesday the Floyd County Sheriff's Office picked up Dennis White on a warrant for bigamy.

White was still in the Catoosa County Jail on Monday afternoon under a $2,500 bond.

The phone number Kelly White provided to police is that of Marshall Bandy, a Ringgold lawyer. Bandy did not return a call Monday seeking comment. Gilreath could not be reached for comment.
