Lee Theatre to present work
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - An original theater production written by Dan Buck and Lee University theater students, "Lessons," will run Thursday through Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Edna Minor Conn Theater.
A university news release said that Buck, an assistant professor of theater, directs the play, which is about obstacles and growth among four people taking music lessons from the same teacher. The production includes five original songs written by Jillian Spears. Michael Bachman, Natalie Brouwer, Jordan Davis, Jonathan Swindle and Spears are co-authors.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for seniors and students. The Dixon Center Box Office hours are 3 to 6 p.m.

Unit completes deployment
FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. - The last return flight for soldiers from the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, arrived at Fort Campbell this weekend and marked the end of a nine-month deployment to Afghanistan.
About 65 troops from the 1st Squadron, 75th Cavalry Regiment, landed at the post on Saturday night. The brigade was deployed as advisory teams in eastern Afghanistan.
Flight evacuated after small fire
NASHVILLE - Two dozen passengers were evacuated from a US Airways airplane at the Nashville International Airport after a small electrical fire started.
The incident Saturday afternoon involved flight No. 3411 from Philadelphia. Airport communications manager Shannon Sumrall told WKRN-TV that a defogging system on the plane's windshield was manufacturing and is believed to have sparked the fire.
The fire was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported.
Mexican woman wants kids back
A Mexican woman is waiting on a federal judge in Nashville to determine whether her children, who were born and live in Tennessee, should be returned to her care in Mexico after claiming that their father abducted them.
The Tennessean reports Nora Lizeth Saavedra Aranda of Nuevo Lesn, Mexico, filed a petition against her ex-husband, Rosendo Elizondo Serna, that said he abducted their daughters during a 2010 visit to the home in Franklin.
Aranda is the primary caregiver of the children, but Serna argued his children are at risk in Mexico.
