University of Tennessee at Chattanooga senior Dontay Hampton re-injured his right knee in the Mocs' 85-61 loss at Elon on Thursday.

His college career is likely over.

The former Arts & Sciences star tore his right ACL in July. He missed the first 15 games of the season while rehabilitating the knee. He led UTC to a comeback victory at The Citadel in his first game of the season and led a historic comeback against Appalachian State last Thursday in overtime.

Hampton broke his right hand in the final seconds against ASU then played on Saturday in a loss to Western Carolina.

"I would be shocked if he ever played again at Chattanooga," UTC coach John Shulman said over the phone. "It's hard to have precise news because we're on the road. It doesn't look good. It's swollen and painful, and I don't know without an MRI if it was hyper-extended or he tore his ACL again. We won't know that until we get home."
