UTC Lady Mocs edge App State 59-55

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team saw its 15-point second half lead disappear. But the Lady Mocs edged past Appalachian State in the final minutes for a 59-55 win to keep UTC in first place in the Southern Conference.

The Lady Mocs made one field goal in the final 15:41. They scored 15 points in that stretch, with 13 coming at the free-throw line.

UTC trailed 55-53 with 2:16 to play and Taylor Hall tied the game with a jumper. Kayla Christopher hit a pair of free throws with 33.6 seconds left to put UTC up 57-55 and Taylor Hall iced the game with two free throws with 3.5 seconds remaining.
