A 45-year-old woman arrested in April in Ider, Ala., has been picked up by investigators from San Diego County, Calif., where she is being returned and faces a child abduction charge.
DeKalb County (Ala.) Sheriff Jimmy Harris said Tammy Cherie Rief was taken into custody on Tuesday by the San Diego County investigators for a return to California.
Last year Rief had been arrested in North Carolina on a fugitive from justice warrant based on the California charge, but left the state after making bond.
The news release said the DeKalb County Court did not set a bond for Rief because of the flight risk as shown in North Carolina.
