Man, girlfriend arrested in Chattanooga after bomb threat at hospital

JASPER, Ala. - Authorities have arrested a man in Tennessee who's suspected of making a bomb threat at an Alabama hospital and robbing a bank.

Police in Jasper say 32-year-old Brandon Peake is in custody following his arrest Thursday in Chattanooga, Tenn. He's charged with robbery and making terroristic threats.

A woman identified as his girlfriend, 31-year-old Tamra Starr Files, also was arrested.

Police say Peake was behind a bomb threat that forced the evacuation of Walker Baptist Medical Center last Friday. Someone robbed the Traders & Farmers Bank in Curry later the same day.

A woman gave birth in the hospital parking lot during the evacuation, but both mother and child are fine. Hospital officials say the threat cost about $75,000.

It's unclear whether Peake or Files have defense lawyers.
