3 charged, held under high bonds in heroin bust in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Police in Nashville have arrested three suspects after undercover officers bought black tar heroin on the street.

The department said 19-year-old Julio Francisco and 35-year-old Esmeralda Godinez sold drugs mulitiple times to the police operative and others while officers had them under surveillance.

Officers also watched as Francisco and Godinez met with the man police believed supplied the drugs. He is 22-year-old Carlos Rivas.

Francisco and Godinez are charged with five counts each of selling heroin and one count each of possession of heroin for resale. Rivas is charged with delivering heroin and possession of heroin in a drug free school zone.

Their bonds range from $180,000 to $210,000.
