Chattanooga police arrest suspect who allegedly pushed someone into traffic and that person was killed

Chattanooga police on Wednesday night arrested a man suspected of pushing another man into oncoming traffic during a fight last month.

Steven Lamount Williams, 41, faces a charge of criminal homicide. He has a bond set at $200,000.

Williams, who is homeless, was picked up by police in the 800 block of Cherry Street Wednesday night.

He is accused of shoving 58-year-old Steven Albert Cran into oncoming traffic in the 5900 block of Brainerd Road. Cran was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses pointed to Williams as a suspect in the case.
