A family member of a 54-year-old man who died in a gruesome incident at TAG Manufacturing last year has filed a $3 million lawsuit against the company.

Fredrick Chubbs, relative of deceased Larry Chubbs, filed the lawsuit today in Hamilton County Circuit Court. Documents allege that the company failed to install, secure and repair metal grating floor panels.

A section of the grating gave way on May 7, 2012 as Larry Chubbs walked over it. He fell into the Big Blaster where an auger shredded his legs up to his torso. He died of blood loss at the scene.
