As one might guess, "Showcase Catoosa," coming to The Colonnade Tuesday, Oct. 29, is all about Catoosa County - its fashion, food and local wares.

About 12 models adorned in clothing found in Catoosa County stores, including Uniktings! new Charlie Paige clothing line and a variety of lines at Southern Charm, will take the catwalk at 6 p.m. Serenity Salon and Spa will bring to life the models' hair and makeup for the clothing showcase.

"People can look forward to a preview of the upcoming season and what Catoosa County has to offer in fashion and style," said Southern Charm owner Courtney Cross. "You don't have to travel outside of the county to find a stylish outfit."

Food tastings by local restaurants and wine tastings by the Georgia Winery will be served from during the event, which lasts from 4:30-7:30 p.m.

"We changed the name to Showcase Catoosa because we want to spotlight some of our small shops," said Catoosa County Chamber President Martha Eaker, adding that the event used to be called the Catoosa Expo. "We will have a taste of Catoosa through samplings of restaurants like Pie Slingers, Tres Amigos and Zaxby's."

Eaker said the event will be exciting and fun with large and small businesses set up throughout showcasing their offerings.

Entertainment begins at 5 p.m. There will also be a live and silent auction featuring a four-person pass to Robert Trent Jones Alabama Courses and Shaw rugs as just some of the auction items.

"The funds raised will help support programs of the Chamber that benefit Chamber members," said Eaker. "I think businesses will get more exposure at Showcase Catoosa than they did at the Catoosa Expo. People can get information on where to shop and what to do in Catoosa County."
