Memphis man sentenced in child trafficking case

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A Memphis man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for a conspiracy in which prosecutors say he made a 14-year-old girl work as a prostitute.

U.S. Attorney Edward L. Stanton III's office said 32-year-old Anthony Grandberry was sentenced Wednesday by U.S. Senior District Judge Jon P. McCalla for conspiracy to engage in child sex trafficking.

Grandberry pleaded guilty to the charge on July 1.

He will also have 10 years of supervision after release and will have to register as a sex offender.

Co-defendant Keith Gibson is set for trial in January on child sex trafficking and child sex trafficking conspiracy charges.

Four others have pleaded guilty and are awaiting sentencing.
