Jasper, Ala., auto supplier expanding, adding jobs

JASPER, Ala. - An automotive supplier in north Alabama is getting ready to open its expansion and more than double its staff.

Gov. Robert Bentley's office announced that he plans to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning for the new HTNA facility in Jasper.

HTNA stands for Hayashi Telempu North America Corp. The company first located in Jasper in 2011 in an existing building with 84 employees. It recently completed a 145,000-square-foot building and plans to add 100 jobs.

HTNA supplies automotive parts for both Japanese and domestic manufacturers.
