Dickson County Sgt. Baker funeral: Remembered for loving life, daughter

Daniel Scott Baker was quick to action and quicker to smile. And, others usually were grinning along with him.
That was his approach to life, from childhood into the Marines and then as Sgt. Baker in the Dickson County Sheriff's Office, according to his friends, family and law enforcement brethren who attended his funeral Tuesday afternoon at First Baptist Church of Dickson.
Baker, 32, was killed in the line of duty May 30. The sanctuary, which church officials confirmed seats up to 2,000 people, was overflowing with community members and uniformed law enforcement officers from local, state and out-of-state agencies.
