A Harrison man is in jail after allegedly firing shots during an argument with his girlfriend and then barricading himself in his home.

Hamilton County deputies responded to Ramsey Road Sunday on a disorder with a weapon. When they got there, they spoke to the victim's girlfriend who told investigators that prior to deputies' arrival, she and her son were asleep when Paul Cantrell woke them up screaming for them to get out. She said he had a small handgun which he shot twice into the room, according to the affidavit of complaint.

"You better get out of here or this is your last chance before I put another bullet in here," Cantrell reportedly said.
