DALTON, Ga. - Newly released information shows that a northwest Georgia convenience store clerk found dead on the floor of his store was killed by a stab wound.

Crime lab results show that 37-year-old store clerk Dahyabhai Chaudhari died of a stab wound to the back, The Daily Citizen of Dalton reported.

Skyy Raven Marie Mims -- a 21-year-old aspiring model, dancer and rapper from Detroit -- is being held on a murder charge in the weekend slaying. Customers say the clerk was found in a pool of blood, his mouth and eyes duct-taped shut.

A bond hearing had been scheduled for Friday, but it was canceled at the request of the Public Defender's Office, which is representing Mims. The defense wanted more time to prepare for the bond hearing, District Attorney Bert Poston said. Lawyer Stephen Blevins in the Public Defender's Office did not immediately return phone calls from The Associated Press Friday morning.

Mims is not speaking with investigators, said Greg Ramey, a special agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

A funeral for Chaudhari, a native of Badpura, India, is scheduled for noon on Sunday at Ponders Melrose Chapel in Dalton.

Friends and customers recall Chaudhari, known as "D.K." or Dickey" -- as a friendly man who seemed to always be smiling.

Store customer Dustin West saw him many nights in the store.

"He's like 'okay, buddy, I know what you need, I see you tomorrow,'" West told WRCB-TV.

"I came in the night before and he was like, 'I see you tomorrow, man' and I'm like 'okay, I'll see you tomorrow.' ... I guess not. We're not always made to be here for the next day."
