Services have been set for a 27-year-old Dalton man and drummer for singer Kane Brown who died over the weekend.

Kenny Dixon was killed in a car crash Saturday near Murfreesboro.

In an emotional speech during Wednesday night's CMT Artists of the Year in Nashville, Brown remembered his friend.

"He started with me coming out of Chattanooga," Brown said, according to the Associated Press. "He was with me the whole time. He was so supportive of me. And I love you, man, I miss you. The band misses you."

He ended his speech by asking the country artists in the room to "stay safe," the Associated Press reported.

Dixon leaves behind a fiancé and 3-year-old son, his obituary states. The couple was set to marry next month.

The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Saturday at Crosspointe Church, 2681 Underwood St. in Dalton. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Crosspointe Church.
