Ringgold woman arrested on molestation charges

A Ringgold, Ga., woman was arrested late Tuesday after being accused of giving alcohol to a juvenile and having sex with him at a trailer park, police said.

Kimberly Louise Watson, 29, of 167 Charlotte Lane, was taken into custody at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday at the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office after an interview there, according to a police report.

She is charged with two felonies, statutory rape and aggravated child molestation, and a misdemeanor for furnishing alcohol to a minor, according to warrants.

The warrants charge all the offenses took place Monday at a trailer park off Falling Springs Lane in Ringgold.

They do not describe the allegations that led up to the arrest. Employees at the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office said the detectives handling the case were unavailable Wednesday.

Ms. Watson appeared before a magistrate judge Tuesday, Catoosa County Jail secretary Teressa Hughey said. A bond was not set during the hearing, because the judge cannot set bonds for the types of felonies with which Ms. Watson is charged, Ms. Hughey said.
