Amazing milestone for Doris Day

Fans of music and movies from the mid-20th century could never forget the pretty, charming and talented actress and singer Doris Day.

She became famous for films such as Hitchcock's "The Man Who Knew Too Much" and songs such as "Que Sera, Sera."

But even Day herself probably never imagined what she would achieve now, at the age of 87.

The Telegraph newspaper of London reported recently that "My Heart," her album of previously unreleased material, broke into the United Kingdom's top 10.

That makes her the oldest singer in history to achieve that distinction, the newspaper noted.

"I'm thrilled," Day said on her website. "It goes to prove, age doesn't matter a bit. If you're doing what you love, people will recognize it."

We congratulate Day on her long and varied career.
