With Peyton Manning's decision, Titans' loss is Broncos' gain

The Tennessee Titans' loss is the Denver Broncos' gain.

While final negotiations are still under way, it appears that Peyton Manning - the NFL's only four-time MVP - will become the Broncos' quarterback and won't be coming to Tennessee, as many had hoped.

Manning, a former University of Tennessee star and a fine sportsman, apparently will succeed another excellent athlete and gentleman, Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow. Where Tebow will wind up is uncertain.

Countless Tennesseans will no doubt continue to root for Manning, even though he will be in Colorado and not Tennessee. In addition to success on the field, we wish him good health. He missed last season because of a series of neck surgeries.

But his long success with the Indianapolis Colts would seem to bode well for the Broncos, too.
