Horse Creek Farms offers space, hospitality

This summer, residents of Horse Creek Farms, located just off of Mountain Creek Road, will sip lemonade on their front porches and watch the sun slip behind Signal Mountain.

Each home's open floor plan, covered outdoor living spaces and spacious yard make this neighborhood's houses perfect for hosting a crowd or drinking morning coffee alone.

"You can wave at your neighbors but you definitely have your own space," says Tina Frizzell, part of Pratt Home Builders' sales and marketing team. "It's a lifestyle home."

Horse Creek Farms blends the best of traditional and Craftsman styles for easy Southern living, and it's less than 6 miles from downtown.

Pratt's advanced, streamlined construction technology and underground utilities mean homes in this neighborhood are built to last and easy to maintain. Though each home's design is different, architectural controls keep the neighborhood consistent, complete with restricted access and a homeowners' association.

Only three homes are still available, as well as some open lots on which to build from scratch. Buyers may choose to explore their options at Pratt's design center, which Pratt marketing assistant Cheryl Moore calls "a grownup candy store."

A fully furnished model home features a grand foyer with a wrought iron-railed stairway which opens to a formal dining room. The kitchen, featuring a work island and granite countertops, opens to a breakfast room on one side and a hearth room with fireplace on the other, all with generous windows to appreciate the neighborhood's mountain views. Other features include hardwood floors and master bedroom on the main level.

"It's got what everybody's looking for. It's a spectacular plan," says Frizzell, encouraging everyone to drop by the model home for decorating ideas.

The model home is open daily but only by appointment on Wednesdays.
