Tennessee Smokies hold off Chattanooga Lookouts, 4-3

KODAK, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Smokies scored four runs in the third inning and outlasted the visiting Chattanooga Lookouts 4-3 in Southern League baseball Monday night.

Junior Lake had an RBI double to right field, Logan Watkins a two-run double to center and Justin Bour an RBI double to center in the third inning at the expense of Chattanooga starting pitcher Ethan Martin.

The Lookouts (11-8) pulled within 4-2 in the eighth inning when Blake Smith doubled to center to score Rafael Ynoa and Nick Buss. Luis Nunez scored on a ninth-inning fielding error that resulted in Kyle Russell reaching second, but Ynoa struck out and Buss grounded out to end the game.

Game one of the Lookouts' three-game home series against Pensacola at AT&T Field is Wednesday night at 7:15. Matt Magill (6-4, 4.38 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts; the Blue Wahoos have yet to name their starter.
