Chattanooga State baseball coach Greg Dennis will get to work in Hawaii next June.

The NoKaOi Baseball Showcase has announced that Dennis will be directing the state of Tennessee's representatives in the June 10-16 event for 16- to 18-year-old players. The showcase will include 12 college coaches and about 150 players from throughout the United States. It will include instruction and competition yet provide time for the participants to enjoy the island of Oahu, according to the NoKaOi release.

"It should be really fun, and what a great offer to get a chance to go to Hawaii with my wife and coach some in THAT climate," Dennis said Tuesday. "I feel very plessed to get the chance and am hoping it will blossom into something even greater."

He said former Middle Georgia coach Craig Young called and offered him the Tennssee position.

"He has done it seven years representing Georgia, and now it is going to be Travis McLanahan from Gordon College," Dennis said. "The guy from Chipola is doing Florida, and I think Shelton State's coach is Alabama. A good friend of mine from North Central Texas College is doing the Texas team."
