High school sports standouts from Oct. 6

Chris Walton, Lookout Valley: He caught five passes for 165 yards and three touchdowns and ran six times for 79 yards in the Yellow Jackets' 40-30 football victory over Taft Youth Center.

Kenzie Morris, Walker Valley, and Abbie Alosi, Silverdale Baptist: They scored the goals for their teams in a soccer match that ended 2-2.

Elisabeth Adams, Hixson: Her two goals and one assist, all in the second half, helped the Lady Wildcats beat Red Bank 3-1 in a District 6-A/AA soccer match.

Morgan Shull, Boyd-Buchanan: She had two goals and two assists in the Lady Bucs' 6-0 soccer victory over Sweetwater.

Crusi Brock, Chattanooga Christian: She scored two goals as the Lady Chargers defeated McMinn Central 4-0 in soccer.

Taelor Kellum, Signal Mountain: Her 10 kills led the hitting for the Lady Eagles, who cruised past Sequatchie County 3-0 in a District 7-AA volleyball match.

Megan Storey, Sale Creek: In addition to her 18 assists pacing the Lady Panthers in their 2-0 volleyball victories over Arts & Sciences and South Pittsburg, she contributed 12 kills and five digs.

Summer Lanter, Soddy-Daisy: She added an assist along with her hat trick when the Lady Trojans beat Warren County 5-1 in a soccer match.

Sierra Nunley, Grace Academy: She had two goals and an assist and the Lady Golden Eagles coasted past East Ridge 6-0 in soccer.

Sara Holder, Gordon Lee: Her combined 32 kills, 37 digs and nine aces led the Lady Trojans over Darlington 2-0 and past Sonoraville 3-2 for their third consecutive Area 6-AA/A volleyball title.

Kaitlyn Kennedy, Ooltewah: She scored the first goal, which turned out to be all the Lady Owls needed in their District 5-AAA soccer match against Rhea County, although they went on and won 4-0.

Katie Loftin, East Hamilton: She sparked the defense with 22 digs and the Lady Hurricanes defeated East Ridge 3-1 in a District 6-AA volleyball match.

Angie Marini, Notre Dame: Her 23 digs topped the Lady Irish, who beat Grundy County 3-0 and clinched the District 7-AA regular-season volleyball championship.

Tiffani Estep, Central: She contributed nine aces and 10 kills in the Lady Purple Pounders' 3-0 District 6-AA volleyball win over Tyner.

Kelsey Nunley, Soddy-Daisy: She totaled nine kills, two blocks and 16 digs as the Lady Trojans beat Rhea County 3-0 and completed the District 5-AAA volleyball regular season 12-0.

Matthew Holliday, Signal Mountain: He rolled a 585 series and helped the Eagles defeat Chattanooga Christian 19-8 in bowling.
