After heavy rain overnight Thursday and an intermittent drizzle Friday, the finale of the five-game series at AT&T Field went on as planned, with the Lookouts winning 8-4 to end a five-game losing streak and avoid being swept by the Braves.

Attendance was 2,784 for a contest that started under overcast skies with the temperature 54 degrees.

The Lookouts (5-8) went ahead for good during their three-run sixth inning, with TJ Friedl reaching on a fielder's choice to score Cassidy Brown and make it 4-3. Jose Siri added an RBI single and Friedl completed the inning's scoring by going home when Taylor Trammell grounded out.

Connor Lien homered twice to drive in all of the runs for the Braves (7-6), giving them the game's first lead with his three-run shot in the second and cutting Chattanooga's lead to four runs with one out in the ninth.

The Lookouts made it 3-all in the bottom of the second, when Cassidy Brown and Friedl scored on wild pitches, with their runs sandwiching Siri's sacrifice fly that scored Scott Moss. Chattanooga's final two runs came in the eighth, with Joel Kuhnel scoring on Ibandel Isabel's sacrifice fly and Friedl going home again, this time when Brantley Bell reached on a throwing error.

Chattanooga's Aaron Fossas (2-1) pitched three innings in relief for the win, and Joel Kuhnel got his first save of the season by working the final two.

The Lookouts open a five-game road series against the Tennessee Smokies with a doubleheader Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Rob Wooten (0-1, 6.30 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts in the opener. The Smokies have not announced their starter.
