Macy Walker

ROSSVILLE Macy "Pops" T. Walker, 84, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012. He was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and was a member of Bible Baptist Church.Macy served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from U.S. Pipe in 1979 after 45 years of employment. Pops was a loving grandfather, father and brother who will be missed greatly by his family.Macy was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Betty Ann Walker; parents; one sister; and two brothers.He is survived by his children, Janet Brock, Stephanie Wooten, David Walker, Nancy Holloway, Tommy Walker, Samantha Motley, Carolyn Harris, Timothy Walker, Dennis Walker and Bessie Walker; two sisters; one brother; over 65 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, South.The family will receive friends after 11 a.m. Friday and prior to the service on Saturday. Arrangements by W.L.
