Juanita Oxford

Johnnie Juanita Oxford, 91, Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at a local hospital.Mrs. Oxford was a native of Chattanooga, having lived most of her life in the East Ridge area. She was a member of Spring Creek Church of God. Mrs. Oxford was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Most of her life was spent raising her two children and making a home for her husband. She was a very talented and articulate person, never meeting a stranger and loved everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents, John R. and Bessie Wooten; husband of 70 years, Robert "Frank" Oxford; two grandchildren, James and John Oxford Jr.Survivors include her two children, Bobbie (Ben) Brackett, Rossville, and John (Beth) Oxford, Sevierville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Johnna Beth (Dickie) Greene, Amanda Wolfenbarger, Melinda Ogle, Tami (Larry) Askew; great-grandchildren, Joshua Greene, Dylan Ogle, Tyler Ogle, Joshua and Laura Brisson; brother, Ralph Wooten; sister, June Miller; as well as many dear friends, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 1 p. m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
