Rev Frank

Sr., Rev. Frank Wright Sr., was transferred from the church terrestrial to the church celestial to aide in the presence of God on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012.He was born July 26, 1932 in LaFayette, Ala., to the late Grace Menefee Wright and the late Douglas Wright.Rev. Wright moved to Chattanooga, in November 1953 and joined Macedonia Baptist Church where he was ordained and served as Associate Minister under the leadership of Rev. James Calhoun. He was employed by Vulcan Iron Works as a welder and retired in 1996.Rev. Wright married the late Octavia Mullins Wright and to this union five children were born; Frank (Shirley) Wright, Lanett, Ala., Gary B. (Brenda) Wright, Lanett, Ala., Gloria T. Wright, Montgomery, Ala., Angelyn (Ivory) Davis, Opelika, Ala., and Reginald Wright, Rochester, N.Y. He later married the late Dorothy Wright of Chattanooga, and to this union one child was born, David (Shelby) Wright, Seattle, Wash. He leaves to cherish his memories; six children; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Peggy Beasley, Roanoke, Ala.; a special and devoted cousin, Mae Ella Wright Moss.
