Vance Riddle

Vance "Hugh" Riddle Jr., 70, of East Ridge and Apison, Tenn, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, in the Chattanooga Hospice Center.Hugh was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving aboard the carrier USS Shangri La CVA 38.He was a business owner and avid golfer. He was a member of Delray Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by his parents, Vance and Lottie Riddle; daughters, Kimberly Michelle Riddle and Patricia Riddle.Survivors include his son, Danny (Linda) Finley, Travelers Rest, S.C.; grandson, Taylor Gersky, of Taylor Mich.; sisters, Marilyn Klingemann, New Braunfels, Texas, Peggy (Neil) Mason, Lompoc, Calif., Pamela Powell, of Taylor, Mich., Paula Penny, of Romulus, Mich., Penny Riddle and Pauline Riddle, of Melvindale, Mich.; several nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Eveann Johnson.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Preacher Josh Hollifield officiating.Burial will follow at Plowman Cemetery, Apison, Tenn.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort with the family.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4111 Oakwood Dr. Chattanooga, TN 37416.
