WHITWELL Harley Lee West, 82, passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013.A member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, he was a Korean War veteran and resided in Jasper most of his life.He was preceded in death by Vennie Whited West, his loving wife of over 40 years; as well as his parents George and Mattie West; several brothers and sisters.He is survived by four children, Chip (Kathy) Ferguson, Harley Neal West, Sherry (Ray) Chace and Cindy (Jim) Lawson; Harley is blessed with grandchildren, Harley Ferguson, Matthew (Tiffany) Ferguson, Jesse (Marita) Ferguson, Candace West, Samantha West, Bailey West, Ryan West, Christopher (April) Chace, Eric (Brandi) Chace, Chris Lawson and Craig Lawson; and eight great-grandchildren, Katie, Harley and Lexi Ferguson. Becca Dvorak, Hailey Chace, Lexi Scates, Alyssa and Ansley Chace.The family would like to thank the staff and members at the Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Whitwell Senior Citizens Center for their loving fellowship during Harleys life.Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. CST today, Feb. 26, with Brother Steve Middleton officiating.Interment will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
