Edith Cofer

Edith Carson Cofer, 97, of Chattanooga, passed away at her home, Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013.She was a member of First Christian Church and Ladies Kiwaniss Club. Edith graduated from Edmondson Business College and worked many years for Double Cola and Barker Oil Co. She loved boating and gardening.She was preceded in death by her husband, Hyatt B. Cofer Sr; son, Hyatt B. Cofer Jr.; and parents, J.M. "Pat" Carson and Carmelia Carson.Survivors are daughter-in-law, Rosie G. Cofer, of Chattanooga and several cousins.Visitation will be 10 a.m. today at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace.
