Ruth Madaris

ROSSVILLE Ruth Aileen Madaris, 84, departed this life Tuesday, July 2, 2013.She was born in DeKalb County, Ga., to the late Jewell and Annie Rape and was of the Baptist faith.Aileen was owner/operator of Madaris Grocery and later Madaris Swap Shop on Cloud Springs Road for many years.She was also preceded in death by her sister, Betty Bufford; and brother, Gene Rape.Survivors include her son, Terry (Carolyn) Madaris, of Rossville; brother, John Calvin Wright, of Menlo, Ga.; grandchildren, Scott Madaris, of Chattanooga, Greg (Debbie) Madaris, of Chickamauga, Eric (Colette) Kennedy, Doug (Danielle) Morrison, all of Rossville; great-grandson, Zach Madaris, of Chickamauga.Thanks to Diane and Tonya with Hearth Hospice for their love, care, and support during this difficult time; especially Tammy Bufford for all she has done for the family.Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2013 at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.Family will receive friends from 3 until 8 p.m. today and prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
