Alyce Parker

Alyce Tennyson Parker, 71, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013.She was the daughter of late Walter and Isabelle Tennyson; she was raised in Dayton, Tenn., along with her sister, Barbara Tennyson Hart, who is also deceased.Alyce was married to Clarence Parker, who preceded her in death, and is survived by her son, Tracy Lee Parker; daughter, Alyce Renee' Parker; four grandchildren, T.C. Locher, Trace Julian Parker, Kylee Sue Parker and Yu'riah Giovanni Watterson; and several nieces and nephews.Alyce was a longtime resident of the Dallas Hollow Community and she retired from Golden Gallon (Pantry) Convenience Store where she had worked at the Bakewell and the Daisy Dallas Store for several years. She was an avid Lady Vols Basketball fan; she also enjoyed bowling, watching hummingbirds, and being with friends at the Alexian Brothers Center.Services will be held noon Monday, July 15, 2013, in the funeral home chapel with Chaplain David Swanson officiating.Burial will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park.
