CHICKAMAUGA Harriet Louise McDaniel, 85, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013, with her family at her bedside.She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, retired from Hutcheson Medical Center, and was preceded in death by her husband, Harry McDaniel Sr.; and son, James McDaniel.Family members that will cherish her memories are her sons, Harry (Lebron) McDaniel and Willie (Barbara) McDaniel, both of Chickamauga; daughters, Glenda Clemons, Veronica (James) Moore, of Chattanooga, and Mary (Robert) Florence, of Rossville; sister, Hazel Shelby of Raleigh, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Robert Jackson, of Chattanooga and William (Brenda) McDaniel, of Rex, Ga.; sisters-in-law, Margaret Foster, of Fort Oglethorpe, Katie Ryan, of Chickamauga, Jane (Edward) Blue, of Southern Pine, N.C., and Anita (Calvin) Ramsey, of New York; special friend, Martha Jenkins; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.Funeral service will be held at noon Monday, July 15, 2013, at from Friendship Baptist Church, 20 Parrish Road, Chickamauga with Pastor Hugh Byrd and other ministers officiating.The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Sunday at the church.Interment, Chattanooga National Cemetery.Condolences may be sent to the family and sign the online guestbook at website: www.willisfuneralhomedalton.com.Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Dalton.
