Jeffrey James Brown, 57, of Apison, Tenn., beloved husband and best friend of Joy Brown for 31 years, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 17, 2013, while on a mission trip in Panama with his church.Jeff had a heart for serving others which was reflected throughout his life in the many pastoral and educational positions he held in the Seventh-day Adventist church. He was currently serving as the pastor of the Apison Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he had been since 2010.Jeff is survived by his wife, Joy Brown; his two children, Beth Lasley and Zach Brown; his mother, Bette Brown; and his siblings, Mike Brown and BJ Brown.Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Apison Seventh-day Adventist Church, 11421 Bates Road, Apison, TN 37302. Overflow will be directed to the Lester Coon Adventist School gymnasium.
